چکیده

mapping of a I5 square kilometre area around Jock Creek and detailed (1:lOOO) mapping of the mineralized area were carried out in 1988 and 1989. Marsden and Moore (1989) give an account of the geology outlined by mapping during the 1988 field season. This report presents some additions and revisions to that stratigraphy, integrates field observations with petrographic work and literature research done during the winter of 1988-89. and provides a model for the setting of the Shasta deposit. This model can be used to guide

Part B: Stratigraphic and Magmatic Setting of Mineral Occurrences

Magmatic and stratigraphic settings exert a first order control on the formation of various mineral deposit types. Some sating are rich in mineral wealth while others are barren. Stratigraphic setting is of particular importance where stratif&m or stratabound minerill deposits are concerned x orebodies are commonly restricted to specific stratigraphic intervals. For example. within the area bou...

Structure-, stratigraphy- and fault-guided regularization in geophysical inversion

S U M M A R Y Geophysical inversion is often ill-posed because of inaccurate and insufficient data. Regularization is often applied to the inversion problem to obtain a stable solution by imposing additional constraints on the model. Common regularization schemes impose isotropic smoothness on solutions and may have difficulties in obtaining geologically reasonable models that are often suppose...

Building 3D subsurface models conforming to seismic structural and stratigraphic features

Subsurface modeling from seismic and borehole data is important for reservoir prediction, geophysical exploration, and production. A reasonable model should honor borehole rock properties and conform to seismic structural and stratigraphic features. Such a subsurface model can be difficult to build in cases complicated by faults and unconformities. Automatic and semiautomatic methods have been ...
